The Weinan Waste-to-Energy Plant achieved the first successful synthronization

Recently, the Weinan Waste-to-Energy Plant in the downtown area, invested by Sanfeng Environment Group and undertaken by Sanfeng Covanta, achieved the first successful synthronization.

The project is located in Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, an important birthplace of the Chinese nation, with an effective service area of about 121.75 acres, including Weinan downtown and Huazhou District. The first phase of the project is designed to treat MSW with a throughput of 750 tons per day. It is equipped with one set of 750t/d reversing-acting mechanical grate, and 1×18MW condensing steam turbine generator set, and the flue gas cleaning system adopts the combined process technology of "SNCR + atomized semi-dry technology + dry power injection + activated carbon adsorption + bag filter".

Weinan City belongs to the Xi'an Half-Hour Economic Circle and is an important part of the Eurasian Continental Economic Belt and the "Guanzhong Tianshui Economic Zone". After the project is completed and put into operation, it can annually treat up to 2,737,500 tons of MSW , generate approximately 103 million KW.h of clean energy, save 33, 200 tons of standard coal equivalent, and reduce approximately 71, 200 tons of carbon dioxide. This is conducive to promoting the improvement of energy structure and air quality in Weinan City, and plays an important role in achieving regional energy conservation and emission reduction, as well as improving the environmental quality of the Guanzhong region.


Sanfeng Covanta will continue to uphold its mission of "For A Cleaner World", carry out project construction, promote the early completion and operation of the project, and assist in the construction of ecological civilization and the development of environmental protection in the Guanzhong region.
